IT’S SHOW AND TELL TIME AGAIN!  FIND OUT WHAT’S HAPPENING WITH LIFE IN OUR LITTLE HANDMADE HOME ❤️

It’s been a week of ups and downs around here, let me tell you.

The ups – I got my new Hourglass Quilt Pattern listed in my shop!

The down was the amount of snow that fell on Tuesday night.  But by Thursday morning, everything was melting nicely.  And I did manage to get some nice pictures of my quilt with a tranquil wintery backdrop.

The snowfall did let me take some stunning pictures of my new Hourglass Quilt.

Now that we’ve had the “final” dump of snow, I think we can expect one more.  I hope it coincides with one of my sewing room days, and not a day that I need to go out and run any errands!

QUILTING

My sewing room got a little tweak this week.  After spending some time trimming my hourglass blocks for my new quilt, I realized that my cutting table was too low.  I brought the risers out of storage, and my husband and I lifted the table.  I had initially thought it would be too tall, but it turns out that it’s just right.

The minute I finished this quilt, I popped next door to take some pictures!

I’m also working on my next quilt pattern – untitled for now – using churn dash blocks and panels.  It should be fun!

I also received the February Sew Sampler box from Fat Quarter Shop, and I’m really excited to get started on the project.  Have you ordered your own Sew Sampler?

ORGANIZING

I spent some time organizing my sewing room this week.  It needed a good cleaning after I finished my Hourglass Quilt.  Plus, I decided to flip the cupboards in my room.  Why?  Well, one is now used for my own projects, my rolling sewing cart and a lot of pillow forms.

And the other?  I’m so glad you asked!  It’s going to be holding … inventory!  That’s right, coming soon to my shop, I’ll have a few pieces for sale that I showcase in my posts and videos!  I can’t wait to share that with you, so be sure to keep an eye out!

That pretty much covers my sharing for this week.  There was a lot going on in the background this week but nothing that I can really share … yet.  I took a couple of days away from my desk and my sewing machine to take my husband to some appointments, but I did get to take my laptop with me one day.  The view from the waiting room was pretty good!

Have I ever mentioned how much I love my flexibility with my work? As long as I have internet, I can still get some work done.

Thanks for joining me for Show and Tell ❤️
