Materials and Tools

This pattern requires the following materials.

Fabric: This pattern was designed using 14-count Aida as the fabric.  You can choose any colour you like, but white or a very light fabric would be best to ensure there is no colour showing through under the white threads.

Threads: DMC is my absolutely go-to for floss, but of course, you can choose the brand you love most.  There are a number of online tools that will convert the numbers to the brand of your choice.

    • DMC BLANC – White
    • DMC 310 – Black
    • DMC 666 – Christmas Red bright

A note about the threads in this pattern.  You can choose to NOT use the white and simply create the bear through the negative space left on the fabric.  You could even change the colour of the fabric and the plaid!  If this is something you are curious about, but aren’t sure how to do, I’m happy to help with a new pattern!
