Supplies for your Mickey Mouse Wreath
The best part of this project is how affordable it is. Here’s what you’ll need, most of which you can find at your local dollar store:
- 1 medium-sized grapevine wreath (around 12 inches)
- 2 small grapevine wreaths (around 6-8 inches each)
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
- Floral wire or sturdy twine
These are optional items that you can use to really bring your wreath to life.
- Ribbon of your choice (for a bow or to hang the wreath)
- Artificial greenery, flowers, or holiday-themed decorations (depending on the season or look you want)
- Small ornaments, berries, or other embellishments such as the wooden heart cutout that I used
Now that you’ve gathered your materials, let’s dive into the steps to create this adorable Mickey Mouse wreath!

The basic shape of a Mickey Mouse wreath comes from attaching two small grapevine wreaths (the ears) to the larger one (the head). Lay out your three wreaths in the Mickey Mouse shape to get an idea of how they will look when assembled.
Once you’re happy with the placement, grab your hot glue gun. Apply a generous amount of hot glue to one side of a small wreath where it will attach to the larger one. Press it firmly into place and hold for a minute or so to allow the glue to set. Repeat this step for the other ear.
For added stability, you can also wrap floral wire or twine around the connection points. This will help reinforce the glue and ensure your wreath stays securely in place.
Step 2: Add the Greenery or Seasonal Decorations
This step is where you can get creative! Depending on the season or theme you want, you can decorate your Mickey Mouse wreath with artificial greenery, flowers, or other embellishments.

As you can see, I’ve used a combination of Spanish moss, small craft flowers and a painted wooden heart.

The final step is to decide how you want to hang your wreath. You can use a simple loop of ribbon or twine attached to the top of the wreath for hanging on a door or wall. Alternatively, you can use a wreath hanger if you’re placing it on your front door.
To ensure your wreath hangs securely, double-check that all the decorations and connections are firmly in place. You don’t want anything to fall off once it’s on display!
